TRAVEL CITY - CAMBRIDGE UK, wrapped by English lifestyle

HOW TO REACH CAMBRIDGE
The most comfortable and cheap way to reach Cambridge from Europe, is flying with Ryanair to Stansted airport. The flight can be bought on the Ryanair website and costs approximately £70/80 (return ticket) depending on the season and on the departure time you choose.
Before leaving be sure you luggage is compliant with the weight and measures limits fixed by the carrier. There is a direct train service from Stansted to Cambridge which takes 30 minutes and runs every hour. The cost is more or less £10/15 (total amount of peak time 12£). It is convenient buying the return ticket as well.
LOCAL TRANSPORT
The typical mode of transport in Cambridge is the bicycle: you can hire one for approximately £20 per week. If you prefer using bus services one day ticket  costs £3,5 one day and £12 a week.
MY ENGLISH SUMMER SCHOOL IN CAMBRIDGE
In August I attended English classes at EF executive language institute. It was a great experience! The school target are foreign companies  which need to improve their employees English level quickly. Classes (max 8 students) are attended by people from all over the world: Europe, Latin America, and Asia as well. The course content are defined by the teacher in cooperation with the students. Lessons are very interactive. The school provides online computer lab with free internet access, books and listening materials can be borrowed.
ACTIVITIES
Cambridge is a university city: the university was founded in 1209 and consists of 31 colleges. Visiting the historical college is a must. You can’t miss King’s college chapel, an art jewel.
If you prefer outdoor activities you can try punting  on the river Cam on bicycling along it to the wonderful village of Grandchester. Even a visit to university botanic garden is highly recommended in particular the plant houses where you can find plants from different climates.
ACCOMODATION
If you attend summer classes, you can stay with on English host family, selected by the school: a good opportunity of learning about the English life style and traditions.
Cambridge offers a wide range of accommodations: you can stay in a hotel or b&b.
A bed & B. costs approximately £ 30 per night per person with luxurious English breakfast. I suggest Arbury Lodge Guest House which offers comfortable rooms private bath and very good breakfast.
